Privacy information
Last updated: October 25, 2026
RetroVem respects your privacy. This page explains what this website stores, what optional analytics collects, and how you can control it.
Who operates this website
RetroVem operates retrovem.com. For privacy questions or requests, email pogisti@gmail.com.
Analytics is optional
RetroVem uses Google Analytics 4 only after you select "Accept analytics" in the consent banner. If you reject analytics or make no choice, the Google Analytics script is not loaded and no analytics request is sent by this website.
Advertising storage, advertising user data, ad personalization, Google Signals, and personalized advertising features are disabled in the site's Analytics configuration.
Information collected after consent
Google Analytics may collect page visits, approximate location, referring pages, browser and device information, session activity, scrolls, outbound clicks, and RetroVem events such as game starts and visits to externally hosted games, mods, or apps.
Network requests necessarily include an IP address. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses and uses them for location information before discarding them. RetroVem does not send names, email addresses, account details, or download tokens as Analytics event data.
Why analytics is used
Analytics helps RetroVem understand which pages, games, mods, and downloads are useful; diagnose compatibility and navigation issues; and improve the website. For visitors in the European Economic Area and other regions requiring consent, the basis for this processing is your consent.
Cookies and browser storage
rv_analytics_consentis stored in local storage to remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics. It remains until you change the setting or clear site data.- Google Analytics may set cookies such as
_gaand_ga_*after acceptance. These cookies may remain for up to two years, with their expiration refreshed by activity. - RetroVem uses session storage for temporary download-attempt counters and timestamps. Session storage is normally cleared when the browser session ends.
Retention and service provider
Event-level and user-level Analytics data is retained for no more than 14 months in the Analytics property. Aggregated reports may remain available after event-level data expires.
Google LLC provides Google Analytics and may process data on servers outside your country. Google's handling of information is described in Google's Privacy Policy and Google's business data privacy information.
Change or withdraw your choice
Use the "Analytics settings" button in the footer to reopen the consent banner. Selecting "Reject analytics" updates the active tag to deny analytics storage and prevents Analytics from loading on future page visits. You may also clear cookies and site data in your browser.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred while consent was active. You may contact RetroVem to ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other privacy rights that apply to you. You may also contact your local data protection authority.
Hosting logs and external links
The hosting provider may create security and access logs needed to deliver and protect the website. RetroVem also links to third-party services such as Steam, Patreon, itch.io, Google Play, and social networks. Their privacy policies apply after you follow those links.
Policy changes
This page may be updated when the website, analytics configuration, or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
